ITIL Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) aims to maintain information about Configuration Items (CIs) required to deliver an IT service, including their relationships. ITIL 4 refers to Service Asset and Configuration Management as service management practices, and has renamed the practices to "IT Asset Management" and "Service Configuration Management".
