What is Wheelen & Hunger's Strategic Management Model?

Wheelen & Hunger's Strategic Management Model is a descriptive model used to help companies understand their strategic environment and their own capabilities. The model consists of five key components: Core Competencies, Resources, Business Strategy, Organizational Structure, and Performance Measures. Each of these components are integral for a company to be able to effectively manage its resources and operations in order to maximize profitability and success within its industry.
