What is Supply Chain Architecture Life Cycle (SCALe)

SCALe consists of four main phases:

  2. Implementation: This phase involves building and deploying the supply chain network according to the design. This may involve construction of facilities, installation of equipment, and deployment of information systems.
  3. Operation: This phase involves running and managing the supply chain network on a day-to-day basis. This may involve managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and monitoring performance.
  4. Optimization: This phase involves continuous improvement and optimization of the supply chain network, including identifying and implementing opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.

SCALe is designed to help companies optimize their supply chain networks and improve the overall performance of the organization. It is often used in conjunction with other supply chain management frameworks and tools, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model.
