What is Disaster Recovery

Disaster recovery is the capability of an enterprise to normal operational state after an event(s) disrupts its operations.

  • This disruption is usually significant and not transient in nature
  • The event(s) are usually catastrophic
  • Normalcy in operations can be phased in with the most mission critical functions brought online first
