What is Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP)
The Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) is a program run by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States that provides assistance to small and medium-sized manufacturers. The goal of MEP is to help manufacturers improve their competitiveness by providing access to technical and business expertise, as well as resources and tools to help them identify and address challenges.
MEP is a network of organizations that provide services to manufacturers in their local communities. These organizations, known as MEP Centers, are located in all 50 states and are funded by NIST, as well as state and local governments.
MEP Centers provide a range of services to manufacturers, including:
