Consumer Confidence

Business Dictionary defines Consume Confidence as "an economic indicator that gauges how consumers interpret the present economic environment and their expectations for the future.' A decline in consumer expectations can be a leading indicator of slowing economic activity. The Consumer Confidence report is a product of the Conference Board and is based on a monthly survey of 5000 households. It is a timely economic report in that the data released on the last Tuesday of each month is based on the current month's survey.[1]
