RAPID Approach

The RAPID Approach is a decision-making framework developed by Bain & Company, designed to help organizations clarify roles and responsibilities when making decisions. RAPID is an acronym for the five key roles involved in the decision-making process: Recommend, Agree, Perform, Input, and Decide.

  1. Decide (D): The person or group with the final decision-making authority. This role has the responsibility to make the ultimate decision, taking into consideration the recommendations, input, and any agreed-upon constraints.
